Kenny Omega Says He Will Share More News On AEW Video Game soon
Then came the reports of the upcoming AEW video game which was promised to be something new. The more exciting part about the game was, they revealed that the game would be heavily inspired from the famous video game WWF No Mercy, which is considered by most of the fans to be the best ever professional wrestling game.
The first trailer of the game was released in late 2020 and it looked quite promising. The excitement of the fans was increasing more and more. Everyone was expecting to get a fresh air. It was quite exciting and the promises that were made were making everything more difficult for the fans to resist.
But the time went on and the game did not get released. It had been nearly three years when the game was first announced. It really does not take such a long time to make a video game. Every time a game takes this much time and hype to get released were mostly disappointing. For example, Cyberpunk 2077.
A lot of fans have already started to compare the AEW video game to Cyberpunk 2077 because of the long delay. And there is still no confirmation when the game would actually get released and if it would be worth a wait. We are still hoping to get all the promises fulfilled.
Kenny Omega who is also a former Impact World Heavyweight Champion recently spoke to Wrestling Observer Radio where he talked about the upcoming AEW video game and he said that he would share more updates on the game that fans are waiting for quite a long time. He said;
“I don’t wanna promise at the PPV or in that PPV week but we were hoping to possibly show a little more of where we’re at & little bit more progression, reveal possibly new characters”
“We want it to feel like how a match would flow but within a video game, so the matches will probably, in general, go a little bit quicker. But we want them to feel like the user is able to assume the role of their favorite AEW Superstar.”
