WWE SmackDown will air the next edition, tonight just two weeks prior to the TLC pay-per-view event. Meanwhile, news from the show confirms that multiple babyface switches have happened on the roster that could change the course of Friday nights.
As reported by Wrestling Observer, Lacey Evans from the women’s division and Elias from the men’s division have left their heel gimmick.
Former Bombshell WWE Diva Becoming Mother For A Third Time
Lacey Evans has been a member of the SmackDown roster following the 2019 edition of the Draft that happened on October 4th. FOX executives snatched this promising superstar which was said to be one of the biggest acquisitions for the blue brand. This woman has shown tremendous heel characteristics at the beginning of her entry to the main roster.
But the historic Crown Jewel match against Natalya converted her to a natural babyface star with ease. Following that, WWE never switched her back to a villain. She appeared last week on SmackDown to punch Sasha Banks in the mouth that earned huge cheers from the fans.

The source also reported that Elias, another naturally gifted heel superstar will portray the face gimmick following his return on SmackDown. He shared a segment with Dana Brooke playing the guitar which apparently confirmed that a different course will be waiting for him from now onwards,
“So the key was that Bayley wouldn’t like attack her. [Lacey Evans] attacked Sasha [Banks] and Bayley backed off. So like Bayley didn’t help Sasha either so Bayley wouldn’t jump her.
The idea was that Bayley was afraid of her, yeah [Lacey Evans] turned. Elias turned with no [build-up] so we’re doing a lot of turns with no [tease].”
As of now, there’s no confirmed news on who Elias will be feuding with since he is yet to make an appearance in front of the crowd. But the next angle for Lacey Evans seems pretty predictable at this point.
She has already confronted Bayley, last week. Hence, this has already planted the seeds for the next feud over SmackDown Women’s Championship. It should be stretched forward when the next episode airs tonight.
