Mandy Rose and Otis have enjoyed one of the most intriguing storylines over on SmackDown during the pandemic situation in 2020. They became an on-screen couple followed by a kiss shared at WrestleMania 36. Many believed that the association could eventually lead to a singles push for both the superstars but that wasn’t the case.
Even Tucker was in the mix as well, but WWE eventually dropped the angle and split them up. Mandy Rose was moved to Raw while Otis was retained on SmackDown. As for Tucker, he was turned heel for a brief occasion but following the split with Otis, his destiny was foreseen. He was let go of the WWE contract amid coronavirus pandemic-related budget cuts.

According to Tucker, him, Otis, and Mandy Rose asked to do much more as a trio to form as a faction. The possibility could have been endless with them working as a group. For some reason, WWE never pushed that storyline and dropped it, all of a sudden. Even the much-appreciated romance angle was also abandoned without having any pay-off.

Tucker, Otis, and Mandy Rose requested a faction
While talking to Wrestle Talk, former WWE Superstar Tucker revealed that they put in several requests for WWE to form a stable featuring him, Otis, and Mandy Rose. There were a ton of ideas floating around, but WWE creative team decided to ignore those pitchings.
“I also think there’s no reason why me and Otis and Mandy shouldn’t have had a run together as the three of us. We pushed that on multiple occasions, there’s so many things we could do backstage there of a brother getting his other brother ready for different dates with a girl that’s out of his league. And that story, for there not to be a payoff for that story, is more egregious than the me and Otis thing, 100 times more egregious,” Tucker told about the Mandy Rose-Otis romantic angle.
“It was one of their top three stories of the pandemic in my opinion for audience buy-in. There were so many people, and not just people who normally watch wrestling, that were so invested in this story.”
WWE does switch things up, every now and then depending on how Vince McMahon thinks about a situation. With Mandy Rose by his side, Otis became the Money In The Bank briefcase holder and thereby promised to become a future world champion. But the pairing was broken and he lost that briefcase to The Miz. Mandy also expected to receive a singles push on SmackDown which never happened, either.
