Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett were released by the WWE in April 2020 as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts. It appeared to be a relief for the couple as they were rarely used on TV. Specifically, with Maria going on a hiatus for pregnancy reasons, WWE didn’t have anything to offer to them, creative-wise.
After waiting for a few months under the free-agent status, both of them eventually returned to ROH. However, that company was recently shut down as the wrestlers were also subsequently released in due course. Maria Kanellis was, therefore, had to arrive in Impact Wrestling but she also continued offering more content on social media to increase followers.
Maria Kanellis Wants Everyone To Pay Attention To Her
Without a doubt, the popular wrestler knows how attractive she is and she loves flaunting those beauty and hotness quotients using her social media profiles. Maria Kanellis took to her Instagram and gave a treat to her fans with a sizzling underwear drop while calling herself a homemaker.

In another subsequent lingerie drop, she apparently channeled Madonna vibes. You can check these recent pictures from her social media profiles as she continues to make a splash on Impact TV. Maria Kanellis appeared during Impact Wrestling’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view alongside her husband Mike Bennet and other former ROH stars to begin the ongoing stint.
Maria Kanellis is currently appearing on IMPACT
After rumors spread about Mike and Maria Kanellis signing a contract with Impact Wrestling, the duo did show up after the hardcore war match between Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, Willie Mack, Heath and Rhino vs. The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) and Violent By Design (Eric Young, Deaner, and Joe Doering) at Hard to Kill PPV.
They alongside Matt Taven, Vincent, and PCO first focused their attack on Heath and Rhino but as Willie Mack and Rich Swann attempted to help, they were also beat down. This was apparently called an ROH invasion which continued on Impact TV tapings following the PPV event.
Ring of Honor announced an indefinite hiatus after its Final Battle PPV ended in December. The promotion plans on returning in April for its Supercard of Honor event, during WrestleMania weekend. Mike and Maria Kanellis would continue to be a part of the promotion but for the time being, they will be a part of Impact.
