Over the past couple of years, McKenzie Mitchell has become an integral part of WWE’s Tuesday night broadcasts. WWE NXT brand always has their separate backstage personnel to handle things and give some breaking news. Previously Cathy Kelley used to be the face of this broadcast division but she left the company in early 2020. That being said, a huge void was felt as made her exit on good terms.
So, McKenzie Mitchell was brought in after her signing was made all the way back in September of 2019. In the absence of Cathy, she took care of backstage interviews during the weekly NXT shows as well as TakeOver shows. Plus, sometimes, she also becomes the co-host for WWE’s The Bump on YouTube alongside the mainstay host Kayla Braxton.

McKenzie Mitchell is a mainstay on NXT 2.0
After she received praise for her floral dress on social media, McKenzie Mitchell took to Instagram to share some close looks with that dress to stun people. The caption for the photos was, “sweet n sour.” Her bestie Chelsea Green commented saying, “You are perfect” while Indi Hartwell commented that NXT 2.0 is alright courtesy of her. Apart from these close-up shots, the blonde-head Diva also shared a couple of shots with her boyfriend in this floral dress.
Hailing from Baltimore, former Impact Wrestling President Dixie Carter hired McKenzie Mitchell in May 2016 to work as a backstage interviewer and to help with photo shoots for the Knockouts division. According to PWInsider, she left the company in January 2019 and has worked for Fox Sports West in Los Angeles, California which led her to the dream job in the WWE.
Given her work ethic, it’s safe to say that McKenzie Mitchell could land on the main roster if and when the time is right. For those who don’t know, she is in a relationship with WWE announcer Vic Joseph. The couple went public during the Thanksgiving Weekend in 2020 on social media.
