WWE has Undisputed Tag Team Championship holders on their programming in the form of The Uso Twins. They hold both the Raw and Smackdown Championships, together to be known as the undisputed champions. The accolade also allows them to carry four championships at the same time.

But, sooner it appears that the Tag Team Championship belts will return to be a couple of titles only as they should be. Reports are currently available suggesting that WWE will soon replace these two sets of belts with a single, new Championship pair.

Current WWE Tag Team Championship belts to be retired

The same account that has broken multiple stories about WWE title belts in the past, is reporting that WWE Tag Team Championship belts will soon become a pair only. Besides, new designs for the belts are also being introduced for both the titles,

“New WWE Tag belts are described to me as being the existing design, dual plated, black strap and having a stacked, large WWE logo in the center. They also have the OLD never used tags which are the women’s tag style on colored straps. Women’s belts getting colored backing soon.”

As you can see, the WWE tag team championship belts won’t be the only straps those will be getting new designs. The current women’s titles, possibly the tag team belts, currently held by DAMAGE CTRL will also be having colored backing as per the report. IYO Sky and Dakota Kai have just won the belts from the pair of Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah on the September 12 episode.
