Nikki and Brie Bella are two of the most beloved female superstars in the history of the WWE. Back in their heyday, it was tough for them to prove their credibility due to a lack of opportunities. However, before they became part-timers, they did receive at least some chances to showcase their wrestling skills.
Then WWE started preparing for the Royal Rumble 2022 on January 29th and many fans started wondering who the company will have brought in to fill out the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Fortunately, they didn’t have to wait long for the long list of competitors as WWE announced many names in advance. Nikki and Brie Bella were a part of that unexpected list which made the Bella Army members excited.

Both Nikki and Brie Bella came up with memorable performances in the Royal Rumble match and they then appeared on this week’s episode of The Bellas Podcast, after returning from the premium live event held in St. Louis, Missouri. The Bella Twins entered the match as entrant number 19 and 24, respectively and Brie was the one to eliminate her twin sister, Nikki.

They both spoke on what it meant to them to be returning to WWE, and disclosed that they had a special traveler in Brie’s daughter Birdie in that journey.
“I came back home on the biggest high. Literally had so much fun,” Brie Bella said. “I wasn’t going to do it [take her daughter Birdie with her] because we were really in and out. At the end of the day, it’s really stressful these big pay-per-views when you’re putting stuff together and you’re getting ready, and I was just kind of like, in my heart, like it’ll just be tough having her.”
“But when your daughter begs to come and see you wrestle live, I’m like ‘I may not ever get this moment again?’ and I didn’t want to lose that, and Bryan [Danielson] was the one who really tried to push it, he was like ‘Brie listen, this is always going to be something that you and Birdie will always have and at four-and-a-half, she will remember.’ So Birdie packed her bag.”
Unlike the previous occasions, Nikki didn’t overshadow her sister Brie Bella who entered the Women’s Royal Rumble to receive a huge response from the WWE Universe with the “YES!” chants. The chant is the famous catchphrase her husband, Bryan Danielson that was brought back on WWE TV after such a long time to set up a nostalgic act.
“You did so good. You looked so good on your run I was like ‘yeah Brie!’ Then, oh my gosh, the YES! chant. Everyone got chills in gorilla. The camera pulled back and they just got this epic shot of you in the stadium and everyone doing it. Everyone got really emotional when you were doing that,” Nikki described the backstage condition during Brie Bella’s YES chants.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
