The Bella Twins – Brie and Nikki Bella are producing headlines for the past couple of days as they’re coming back on TV with the latest edition of Total Bellas. This time around, the show will be focusing on their journey to motherhood, together. As the promotions around the show continue, the Bellas are opening on their life ongoings and bygones.
Speaking on one of the media sessions on the occasion of Total Bellas, Nikki Bella recently revealed that her ex-fiancé, John Cena contacted her in the recent past. He congratulated her after she gave birth to a baby boy in July with current beau, Artem Chigvintsev. It’s great to know that the two ex-flames still has a lot of respect for each other.
“So with the baby, he reached out to Brie and I both,” Nikki told Us Weekly in an interview. “We haven’t had an individual conversation in gosh, I don’t know how long, but it was very short and sweet!”

Nikki Bella and John Cena have dated each other since 2012 and their relationship was more than well-documented through the Total Divas and Total Bellas reality TV series. Back at WrestleMania 33, Cena proposed Nikki in front of a live audience and they’re all set to tie the knot in 2018 spring. Eventually, they decided to split up in 2018 after that six-year relationship.

Nikki Bella went on to explain that she is on good terms with Cena even after the break-up.
“John and I will be tied forever. I get that, like, we had a public relationship on a reality show for six years,” she said Nikki, while promoting the new season of Total Bellas. “All I’ve ever wanted was for him to be happy. So, it makes me happy when I see that and, like, him kicking butt in the movie world and all that stuff. I love that!”
Nikki Bella and her sister, Brie delivered two baby boys exactly a day apart, earlier this summer. To be exact, Nikki and Artem Chigvintsev welcomed their first son, Matteo on July 31st while Brie and Daniel Bryan welcomed their second child, a son named Buddy Dessert Danielson. They do have a daughter, named Birdie Joe Danielson who is three-years-old.
As reported earlier, Brie and Nikki Bella are heavily rumored to make a comeback to WWE in-ring competition. As per a comment made by Artem, the two parties are in touch to make it happen. Plus, Brie admitted in one of the recent interviews that she and her sister have one more run left in the WWE.
“This is what’s hard for Nikki and I,” Brie told Access Hollywood. “When we left, all of a sudden the WWE Women’s Tag Titles came, and we’re like, ‘Wait a sec, that’s for The Bella Twins.’ We’ve been dying to have tag titles. So, she and I feel like we have one more run in us, so we really want to go for those titles.”
The Bella Twins were also announced to be inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2020 inductees. However, the induction ceremony had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There’s no update on when the most prestigious night of the year will be rescheduled.
