NXT Halloween Havoc is all set to return to WWE programming within two months from now. As of this writing, the Worlds Collide event is the next WWE Network Specials set for this Sunday afternoon from the NXT brand. But going by the reports, WWE is on the verge of announcing one more such special show in late October.
This week, the go-home edition of NXT 2.0 for Worlds Collide was presented and it came with a bunch of surprises as several Raw and Smackdown Superstars appeared on the show to hype things up for this battle between NXT and NXT UK. Once it’s done, WWE is likely to announce NXT Halloween Havoc as there are already plans in place for their upcoming major premium live event from the so-called third brand of the company.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the return of NXT Halloween Havoc is evident. Unlike last year, it won’t be a regular yet themed episode on the USA Network, but rather it will be NXT’s next premium live event on the WWE Network. It will take place on October 22nd although there will be a gap of more than a week between the show and the actual Halloween festivities.

NXT Halloween Havoc to emanate from WWE PC in Florida
This particular event originated in WCW and gradually became one of the most watched pay-per-views from 1989 to 2000 on a yearly basis. The tradition rested after Vince McMahon acquired WCW and dissolved it with the WWE brand. Now, NXT Halloween Havoc has been brought back to TV over the past couple of years as a television special. This year, it will be even bigger since a pay-per-view is scheduled under this gimmick.
No location has been specified for the 2022 edition of Halloween Havoc but Triple H and Shawn Michaels would love the NXT brand to go back on the road as soon as possible. If not so then WWE will probably continue to tape NXT programming at the WWE Performance Center and the upcoming special event will also emanate from the same venue.
