As reported earlier, WWE is set to take ownership of wrestlers under their contracts who have Twitch accounts, within 4 weeks. Under this rule, wrestlers will receive a percentage of the revenue, which counts against their downside guarantees.
Vince McMahon sent an email to talents earlier this week to remind them of the already issued edict where talents should stop engaging in third-party activities using their WWE on-screen names, or else they would be fined, terminated, or suspended. Since there are rumors ongoing that the former Divas Champion may not remain the owner of her Twitch account, she posted the following on her social media account about WWE’s new policy regarding wrestlers who are also Twitch streamers.

Paige Twitch Channel: WWE Diva Points Out Hard Work To Gain Fans
One fan tweeted back at her while accusing that Paige Twitch stream wasn’t opened like others did. This fan indirectly said that she got fame from WWE and then used the same to build her Twitch followers, “not like you grinded from 1 viewer like most streamers.”
The first-ever WWE NXT Women’s Champion fired back at this so-called hater and decided to school him. Paige Twitch account was introduced as a celebrity, but she still grinded for 15 years and increased her fan base. She also took part in other Twitch accommodations to help growing others. Here’s her full statement,
“Nah difference is I grinded for 15 years for my fan base that I brought over to twitch. Also dropping raids and 50 bombs on smaller streamers to help them grow. Not for bitter people like you though. Work hard and you’ll get a fan base to.”
Paige Twitch account will likely soon become a channel to be owned by WWE. Although most of the superstars are livid about the rule, she or anybody else didn’t have the audacity to raise voice over it and go against Vince McMahon. But at the same time, the tweets made by her concerning her passion for the Twitch community can’t be ignored.
