WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio, Mr. Money in the Bank Damian Priest, and Finn Balor were the poster figures of the latest bygone PLE and WWE could be planning big things for them.
Rhea Ripley and her alliance with The Judgment Day eventually unraveled an on-screen romantic partnership with Dominik Mysterio. Despite being heel characters on TV too, the two went on to become a fan favorite due to their antics on TV. But surprisingly, Ripley also announced her engagement to the AEW wrestler Buddy Matthews FKA Buddy Murphy from WWE, and the announcement could be having a major impact on Judgment Day.

Ripley and Dominik’s romantic status was in jeopardy ahead of WWE Payback 2023?
Ripley and Buddy made their relationship public last year and now that they are engaged to be married, WWE might just feel the on-screen alliance between Ripley and Dom to be useless. This could eventually mark the end of the pairing of the two. Since Payback 2023 was heavily promoting the Judgment Day as headliners, the trigger was supposed to be pulled at the PLE. However, Dominik eventually helped Ripley to retain her title against Raquel Rodriguez.
The Eradicator of Judgment Day has been one of the main reasons behind the young Mysterio rising to the occasion and also becoming a champion on NXT. Accompanying and aiding him in his matches, Ripley has been the pillar behind Dom’s success but the good times may not last long with rumors swirling around Judgment Day around Payback 2023.
Also in recent times, there has been tension between Damian Priest and Finn Balor. The so-called leader firmly believes that Priest is the reason he failed to win the World Heavyweight Title at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam. The two are seemingly at odds and who knows how Balor would be acting when Priest eventually decides to cash in the MITB contract.
In the end, Payback 2023 went in favor of Judgment Day and each member of the group ended up being champions by the end of the Saturday, September 2 PLE at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
