WWE decided to break up the IIconics – Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, earlier this summer. It happened suddenly, in an episode of Monday Night Raw which didn’t have any kind of buildup. So it was a shocker for most of the WWE Universe. The crucial thing is that they didn’t have much of a follow-up story planned, at all.
The company then sent Peyton Royce and Billie Kay to two different brands during the 2020 WWE Draft to solidify their breakup as a team. It was supposed that Vince McMahon was a fan of Royce who was on the verge of getting a big push. But plans do quickly change in the WWE and that plans also changed in due course. The woman in concern isn’t a fan of her booking direction, as well.

Peyton Royce Wants IIconics Teammate Billie Kay In Her Corner
Following the Draft 2020, WWE placed Peyton Royce in a tag team with Lacey Evans. But apparently, she is not a fan of this decision. She tweeted out while replying to WWE’s The Bump YouTube channel, saying that if WWE doesn’t place her back with Billie Kay, then she is going to reject Evans as her new partner.

WWE The Bump asked fans to drop a name for the team of Peyton Royce Royce and Evans’ new team. However, the former IIconics member clearly stated they are not a team.
“We are not a team.
I will only be in a tag team if it’s with Billie Kay. That’s it. The end. I’m dead serious.”
Lacey Evans wasn’t surprised, too as she tweeted out “She’s dead serious, y’all, #BlessHerHeart,” taking a sarcastic note on this matter.
There’s a reason nobody wants to be your friend. You don’t know how to be one. I have a friend because I have feelings. And that’s more than I can say for you. https://t.co/elTK2Vj17V

It was back in July when the Wrestling Observer reported that WWE had plans to push Peyton Royce as a singles superstar. The break up of The IIconics also hinted the same. But like many of the stars on the roster, it seems like Vince McMahon has quickly changed his mind on the Australian star. The source has now that WWE is trying to get them over as a Tag Team since the Women’s Division doesn’t have many teams.
So it definitely doesn’t make any sense to break up The IIconics who was born as and to be a tag team in this wrestling business. Just like Peyton Royce, Billie Kay isn’t doing anything special on SmackDown, as well. The two of them can’t do much about the situation as Vince McMahon is the one to call the shots. With that being said, you never know if an IIconics reunion happens in the future.
