The exciting Raw Roulette wheel could be seen back on WWE TV, again, this year. WWE will be bringing back fans, very soon to their shows starting from this summer. To entertain the live audience, they are currently pitching some interesting ideas in the upcoming weeks. This will likely include the return of some old gimmick-based shows or concepts to make things cooler than the pandemic era.
The list of ideas could be executed in late 2021 and early 2022. Those specials like Old School RAW, King of the Ring, and Viewer’s Choice are likely to return. In an update, Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast reports that RAW Roulette is more than likely to appear in 2021. The reliable source has also provided updates that King of the Ring is expected for this year.

The first-ever RAW Roulette show was held on October 7, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Overall, there have been 5 other RAW Roulette specials, with the final one taking place on January 28, 2013, also in Vegas. This particular show features matches where the stipulations are decided by the spin of a wheel.

Fightful Select reported that FOX and USA/NBCU were a big part of the push for more themed shows to happen in WWE. That saying is that several additional NBC Sports-integrated pitches are now being made.
These pitches include tie-ins with NASCAR, contingent around a major race that would integrate race cars and star drivers. Another pitch included NFL Night for the launch of Sunday Night Football for football-themed matches and angles.

A Wrestling World Cup was also pitched, which would include all brands. Another pitch by NBC has reportedly been done to begin a “Points Month” where wins, signature moves, and other things are done to gather “points” for wrestlers.
Raw Roulette wheel is also likely to be an idea that might have been suggested by NBC of FOX side. They obviously want themed shows to happen in WWE to bring up viewership numbers. Conducting gimmick-based shows is a heavy way to accomplish that. Perhaps, some of the future events that WWE is selling tickets for, will end up becoming special shows.
