WWE Raw and Smackdown Live were pleasant experiences for the audience as they were quite good, content-wise. These helped the TV ratings not sinking down further. Raw under officiation of Paul Heyman even witnessed a significant increase in viewership. However, one can’t deny the fact that the poster boy Roman Reigns was not around on both the shows.

The Undertaker To Perform In Two More Matches In 2019

Real Reason Why Braun Strowman Exploded Stage On WWE Raw

It was quite unusual not seeing The Big Dog around when we are just less than two weeks away from Extreme Rules. He is teaming up with The Undertaker to take on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. The Phenome was present on Raw to make up his absence raising questions which the exact reason could behind this. We have recently received a report that disclosed the same.

Triple H Stepping Down From His Raw & Smackdown Duties

As per the reports from Fightful.com, Roman Reigns did not travel with the WWE roster to attend Raw. Rather he headed straight to his home in Pensacola, Florida to enjoy some private time with his family. So it was evident that he could not attend Monday Night Raw in Dallas and Smackdown in San Antonio.

The good news is that he is not dealing with any injury which will drag Roman Reigns back to the scene in no time. Here’s more from the source,

“You may have noticed that Roman Reigns wasn’t on WWE TV this week for either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live. We’re told he went home right after the Japan tour. WWE was short-handed this week, as Finn Balor was still in Ireland, and The Usos and Naomi were listed as “on vacation.”

WWE has already started promoting a match featuring Roman Reigns on this upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw as part of dual main event matches. He will team up with a mystery partner against the team of Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre on the show that takes place in Newark, New Jersey. So it will give us a preview of what we should expect at Extreme Rules.

WWE Superstars go through an extremely rigorous schedule throughout the year that causes exhaustion in their body. Roman Reigns has to work with extra workload since he is the franchise player of the company. Plus, he came back earlier the year defeating Leukemia which might need a light working schedule. So he deserves every bit of this time-off while preparing for Extreme Rules in July 14th.
