Renee Paquette Reveals How Her Husband Makes Her Nervous In AEW

Renee Paquette was a member of the WWE Universe. By the name of Renee Young, she became a key figure in WWE programming. For eight long years, the vibrant face became the face of WWE broadcasting and her sudden departure appeared to be a shock for the fans.

The Canadian journalist parted ways with the company after FOX’s WWE Backstage show was canceled in late 2019. She is now part of the AEW family and is enjoying more freedom working for a different company. This was also the reason why she apparently wanted to leave WWE for a long time and did so after her contract expired.

Moving on, Renee Paquette made her shocking debut in AEW in September during the AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam episode. To be honest, wrestling fans were elated to see her gorgeous face back on TV after a long time. She has since been accustomed to AEW’s backstage norms, but she’d never forget her time spent in the WWE.

Renee Paquette discussed her husband’s calm backstage presence

Renee Paquette recently made an appearance on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, where she discussed her first AEW show as an on-air talent. She admitted that her husband, the three-time AEW World Champion Jon Moxley often makes her nervous before appearing on TV. There’s a certain quality in the former WWE Superstar that leaves her high-and-dry before going on air.

“It’s funny because he’s very calm and collected with what he does,” Renee Paquette said. “He has like his own energy throughout the day before a match. He is really in his zone doing his thing. So once I knew what I was doing on the show, I was like, ‘Okay, I can handle this. I’m ready to go.’ So, I’m like getting mic’d up, getting my ears in, and then all of a sudden he shows up at the monitor.”

“So, Jon’s there, and Jon’s just like, ‘You got this, listen to them; you can hear them,’ like psyching me out. He thought he was pumping me up, but I’m like, ‘You’re actually kind of making me more nervous right now.’ He’s just there trying to be like supportive husband, and I’m like, ‘This is making me feel a little more stressed out.'” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

Renee Paquette debuted for the All Elite Wrestling promotion on October 12 in her hometown of Toronto, Canada, and has since been serving as a backstage interviewer. Commenting on her ongoing stint while speaking on her Oral Sessions podcast, she respects working for both companies. But AEW doesn’t treat their fans as stupid, unlike WWE.
