Renee Young is perhaps the popular face from the entire broadcast team that WWE has. With a global fan following, WWE took the historic decision of making her one of the commentators of Monday Night Raw for the better part of 2019.
Secret of Renee Young’s marriage with Dean Ambrose
She turned out to be the first regular female member of a commentary team in the history of pro-wrestling. But that might have led to a stressful situation for her.

Renee Young has recently opened up about the timespan that she spent as a member of the Raw announce team and reflected in a negative way. During an interview with the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, the Canadian lady referred to her time of commentating as “disastrous.”
Renee Young admitted having a tough time in that role from her natural being of a journalist. She tried to learn more during this tenure about calling things out but that was not a pleasant experience, at all,
“I needed something different to chew on. Cole and HHH pulled me aside and told me I was going to do commentary on RAW. I was like ‘What? Why? Who approved this?’ I was going to try and figure it out.” (courtesy sescoops.com)
The wife of former WWE superstar, Dean Ambrose also gave an insight look behind the situation. In general, we know Renee Young as a bubbly personality who likes to have fun. But she had to suppress all of her excitements during the three hours she used to spend on the Raw commentary table,
“Corey Graves is great at that. I was used to being the ‘A’ person. It was odd trying to jump and talk about something that had already been said. I tried to come at it from a fan standpoint but that does not always work. I felt some misdirection about what my purpose was out there.”
The blonde lady concluded saying that “it just wasn’t really working.” It was difficult to accept when you aren’t good at something. But being a sporting personality, Renee Young admitted of not doing good at the commentary when the fans blamed her for being so.
Thankfully, for Renee Young, the stint as one of the leading commentators of Monday Night Raw has come to an end. Following the WWE Draft, she has now become a part of SmackDown in a new role as a contributor. But most importantly, WWE chose Renee as the host of the studio show, WWE Backstage on FS1.
