Rhea Ripley was supposed to have a blockbuster year in 2020 in WWE but things did not turn out the way she’d expected. While it was thought that earning a spot at WrestleMania 36 card could elevate her career to the next step, it only marked the downfall, instead and she’s definitely not happy about it. But then again, she doesn’t have any say in the WWE creative process.

The former NXT Women’s Champion was pushed down the card in the past few months that was pretty unfortunate to watch. She also admitted how that WrestleMania loss against Charlotte Flair caused her to lose confidence. Rhea Ripley also realizes the fact that her professional wrestling career isn’t meant to last forever especially since when she’s ready to start a family.

While speaking to Lilian Garcia on the Chasing Glory podcast, Rhea Ripley was asked what “glory means to her.” She answered the question in an interesting way where she does want to achieve the best her WWE career has to offer her. But she always has that desire to go “back home” and start a family when the clock starts ticking

“Oh man, that’s a really tough question. I guess glory just means, like, knowing that I did my best and I got as far as I could. I say it all of the time – I don’t have many goals in this business ’cause I just want to see how far I can get. I feel like once my career is all done and dusted, and I’ve done everything I could have possibly done, then that’s my glory. Then I can live, and have a normal life, and go have kids. I love wrestling, but when that day comes, I’m going back home and I’m starting a family.” (Quotes courtesy Wrestling Inc)

For those who don’t know, Rhea Ripley is from Adelaide, Australia. Going back home may mean that she would eventually leave the United States of America. She’s engaged to someone who’s not related to the pro-wrestling industry. But we believe she has a lot of time before starting a family as she’s only 24-year-old. But no one really knows what kind of curveballs life has to offer, down the road.

The WWE Draft happened in October where it was believed that Rhea Ripley must be called up from NXT on either Raw or SmackDown but this year, the black and yellow brand wasn’t a part of the process. While speaking to Garcia, The Nightmare admitted that she was expecting to have her name called during the 2020 WWE Draft, but that wasn’t planned.

One way or the other, a spot at the main roster would be reserved for him, eventually, but for now, she has to keep going on NXT,

“I was waiting for it and then it didn’t happen. I would like to go to Raw or SmackDown, but at the same time, there are so many people in NXT that I haven’t faced yet and I feel like there is so much more that I can still do. I would love to wrestle Candice [LeRae], especially now that her whole persona has changed. I would love to wrestle Indi Hartwell, Shotzi [Blackheart], I want to wrestle Raquel [Gonzalez] again. I would love to do a stipulation match with her,” Rhea Ripley stated. (Quotes courtesy Fightful)
