Roman Reigns has already become a bonafide WWE Hall of Famer, and his official coronation would happen down the road. But for the time being, WWE Universe has the utmost honor of seeing him performing on TV on special occasions.
Previously, Roman Reigns and WWE Smackdown became synonymous due to his regular appearances starting with FOX’s acquisition of the show in 2019. Then he captured the Universal Championship in August 2020 as a heel superstar and has since enjoyed the longest reign with the title in the history of the WWE.

His untouchable status has grown further by clinching the WWE Championship around his waist at WrestleMania 38 by defeating Brock Lesnar which made him the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Since then, his appearances on TV became sporadic due to his outside commitments.

Roman Reigns belongs to the legendary Samoan family
We need to mention that in real life, Roman Reigns may not use the on-screen character that he plays in the WWE. For those who don’t know, his real name is Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoaʻi and he belongs to the legendary Samoan family in professional wrestling. The family legacy goes way back starting with Afa and Sika, then Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, reigning WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos, Umaga, Tamina Snuka, Solo Sikoa, and more.
Interestingly, Roman Reigns broke character a few years ago when he was diagnosed with leukemia for the second time in his career. In a live promo on Raw, he uttered the following words and thereby revealed his true identity, “My real name is Joe, and I’ve been living with leukemia for eleven years.” However, WWE never had to use Joe for a second time after that instance.
Following John Cena, WWE handpicked Roman Reigns to be the next poster boy of the company. They literally forced the fans with a babyface version of him which appeared to be unbearable to the fans.
After getting catapulted as the prime superstar of Raw and Smackdown, he competed in the main event of four consecutive WrestleManias and six times in a combined way in his career. Given his status, many more such instances should be reserved for him in the future.
