Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is the top-most guy in today’s WWE and he’s bound to feature in a headliner match at this year’s Wrestlemania. The Rock was supposed to be his opponent in a dream match but that’s a long-term story and at this point, it’s uncertain whether this match will take place or not.

Meanwhile, The Rock is showering his cousin with tons of praise for his current work in the WWE. During a recent interview with Comicbook, the former WWE Champion was asked if he’ll have a proper run as a Champion in WWE if and when he defeats Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

The Great One was uncertain about having another run with the world title in the WWE especially given he’s The People’s Champion and with that comes a lot of responsibilities. While there’s no discussion is going on with the dream match, The Rock would be down with this battle if the angle makes sense.

The Rock showered praise on Roman Reigns

Moving on, the seven-time world champion explained how Roman Reigns is doing a great job with his current work in the WWE,

“It seems like Roman, you know, I’m very close with Roman obviously, and we talk about this all the time, and I continue to encourage him to keep doing your thing, keep sharpening those skills.

I think he’s doing a great job with his promo, his execution, his in-ring work. It all continues to improve and grow. And that’s always the best part, I think, about that world of professional wrestling is that when someone gets anointed and given the ball to run, they either score a touchdown with it or they don’t.

And again, I’m very, very proud of him. I like everything that he’s doing. I like everything that the Usos are doing. I like what they’re doing together, and we’ll see down the road.”

WWE has a lot of plans for the future but they’re not really looking forward to a long-term booking, anymore. The Rock’s schedule is a lot busier and his bout with Roman Reigns can’ be booked, overnight. The Hollywood megastar might return to WWE at some point, but it’s not cited to happen at Wrestlemania 38 in Dallas, Texas.

In The Rock’s absence, the most likely headliner for the Biggest Event of the Year is going to be Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38 with the Universal Title hanging in the balance.
