Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have been engaged in a program ever since the summer of 2021, Summerslam to be specific. After a lot of twists and turns in the storyline, the two finally met in the ring in the Biggest Match of All-Time in Wrestlemania history, this past Sunday at WrestleMania 38 Night 2.
The main event match of ‘Mania 2022 edition saw Roman Reigns defeating Brock Lesnar to become the new WWE Universal Champion. The pin-fall win came in a clean way in the end which highlighted the dominant run of the heel superstars on WWE TV.
To some of the fans, the headliner match felt rushed, as it only lasted for just 12 minutes. A possible reason touted for the lame and quick finish was that Roman Reigns got injured. During the finishing sequence of the match, his arm looked swollen as seen in the released pictures on the internet. There’s speculation that he might have separated his shoulder.

Roman Reigns as having an issue with his arm
During the broadcast, Roman Reigns was even heard telling his Special Counsel Paul Heyman, “it’s out” several times. Fans thought he was just selling Brock Lesnar’s Kimura Lock. Soon after that, Roman pinned Lesnar with a mammoth Spear. Just after the match, the winner could be seen popping his shoulder back in place, taking the help of the ring ropes.
Photos clearly showed that there was a major swelling on Roman Reigns’ arms after Lesnar applied the Kimura Lock spot. One fan also pointed out an issue with Reigns’ arm after that devastating submission was locked in by The Beast,
“Like I said. Roman Reigns got his shoulder split/separated/whatever in the Barricade spot. Lesnar also did something to his ribs not long after that. Both wrestled another 10+ minutes to that finish. Brock realizing that Roman’s arm was legit out.”
It’s not known whether Roman Reigns suffered a major injury at Wrestlemania 38 or whether he will have to miss sometimes due to the speculated injury. In the meantime, he was present at the post-Wrestlemania 38 edition in Dallas, Texas. He would apparently take a decision for his next step, this Friday night on Smackdown.
