WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been putting up the best act of the entire WWE roster for the past several months. The heel act has certainly made him perhaps the top-most Superstar in WWE who is enjoying the best run of his career, thus far. This Tribal Chief shtick is something that was much-needed to rejuvenate his career.

With assistance from Paul Heyman, he is successfully doing so. Now it seems, Roman Reigns has reached another impressive WWE milestone in his career. He has been the WWE Universal Champion since winning the title at Payback 2020 (in a Triple Threat where he pinned Braun Strowman to win the title. The match also featured The Fiend Bray Wyatt) who hasn’t lost the belt since then.

Roman Reigns is a two-time WWE Universal Champion

Prior to this, Roman Reigns won the title at WWE SummerSlam 2018 and held it for 63 days before vacating it on the October 22, 2018, episode of Raw due to the return of his leukemia. That being said, he held the Universal Title for 300 days during his two runs. Now, he is the Superstar with the second-longest reign with the title, combined.

Roman Reigns Reaches Milestone As Current WWE Universal Champion 2

Roman Reigns is only behind Brock Lesnar who held the title for 686 days in his three title reigns. Even for a single Universal title reign, the Head of the Table is in the second spot standing right after Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate started his first reign at WrestleMania 33 in 2017 and lost it at SummerSlam 2018 in a record 504-day run. Interestingly, he lost the title to Reigns on that night.

Now, Roman Reigns stands on the second spot with his currently ongoing 237-day reign which is not likely ending, anytime soon. As of now, he is set to defend his title against Daniel Bryan on this coming episode of Friday Night Smackdown. If Bryan loses then he will have to leave the blue brand, per the stipulation. It could possibly be ending his career in the WWE.
