A huge announcement on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW hyped up the Royal Rumble 2021 edition. WWE Hall Of Famer Edge officially announced that he will be competing in the Men’s Rumble match for the second year in a row. While many believe that this participation wasn’t necessary, he volunteered to do so. Thus, on January 31st will be doing something incredible.

Whenever the Rated-R Superstar makes his entry into the match, he will be reaching a career milestone in the Royal Rumble. Edge will become the only WWE Superstar to participate in Rumble matches in four separate decades is in the 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. Shawn Michaels and Jim Duggan have this accolade who did this in the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful took to Twitter and revealed these interesting statistics after Edge made his Royal Rumble announcement.

“Edge is the only person to be in Royal Rumble matches in the 90s, 00s, 10s, and 20s.”

Last year, Edge has gifted us with one of the most memorable Royal Rumble moments of all-time when he shocked the world by returning to the competition after nine long years. It will be interesting to see what he ends up doing, this year. WWE Universe won’t mind seeing the match turning into a Spear-feast.

Kofi Kingston losing a Royal Rumble streak?

Former WWE Champion and The New Day member Kofi Kingston has competed in every Royal Rumble match since 2009. Not only that, he’s made Rumbles memorable with his acrobatic skills. But it seems his 11-year streak of Rumble appearances will be ending, this year.

Kofi Kingston has entertained the fans as much as he could by dodging eliminations from the Royal Rumble match doing some incredible stunts. Now, he is out of action due to a legitimate jaw injury, which he suffered a few weeks ago on RAW. It has not been revealed how long he will be away from WWE TV but he’s probably missing the over-the-top-rope contest.

Apart from Kingston, Dolph Ziggler has also competed in eleven straight Royal Rumble matches. He will be entering his 12th Rumble event to close in, to Kane’s record 19 appearances in this genre. Mustafa Ali announced on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW that he will take Kofi Kingston’s spot in the Men’s Rumble match.
