It looks like, a sudden headache has arrived for the WWE officials only six nights prior to Extreme Rules pay-per-view event. The Smackdown women’s championship match is set where Bayley defends against Alexa Bliss. However, the contender may not be doing okay on health regard in recent times that may force her to miss the title match.

Alexa Bliss has already been through a lot when it comes to health issues. For the better part of 2018, she was sitting away from in-ring competition due to a neck concussion issue. Even this year, she had to miss Money in the Bank PPV event due to the exact same reason. But in this case, at Extreme Rules, the title bout is a solo contest that could make the creative team start their planning from the scratch.

Night 4 of no sleep due to terrible coughing … really need to kick this sickness ???

The health-scare broke out around Alexa Bliss from last Tuesday onwards. She was present on the show but did not appear in front of live TV for some reasons. Nikki Cross replaced her on Moment of Bliss that indicates that something was wrong. Later The Goddess herself clarified that she could not sleep well at night due to cough indicating that a flu-kind situation got her.
The worst part of this situation is that even after five or six days later, Alexa Bliss medical condition is not positive enough. Heading into tonight’s WWE Raw, the medical team will definitely check her up and declare her status for the night. If they find her in a weak state courtesy of viral infection then she is likely to miss the Extreme Rules PPV event.
Dear Sickness, it’s been 5 days. You gotta go. ??

So there are chances that we may get a changed matchup for Smackdown women’s title at Extreme Rules. Nikki Cross is the automatic backup choice here to fill up the slot left by her on-screen best friend. The former NXT name does have a win over the champion that could set up the match as per storyline basis. Superstars have been pointing this for the past couple of weeks wishing she could get the title match.
So Nikki Cross may get the big break on the main roster at Extreme Rules depending on the condition of Alexa Bliss. She has been a victim of several misfortunes regarding health in recent times which continues. The good thing is that she is one of the trusted shoulders of Vince McMahon which may be the only reason why she can still expect to be around the title picture as Summerslam is inching closer.
