Brock Lesnar has been rumored to have signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling promotion. The speculation spread despite any base to it after reports noted that former WWE Champions like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk will also make their AEW debut in due course. But reliable sources have now updated that nothing is true at least regarding Paul Heyman’s former WWE client.
A rumor started in recent times stating that Brock Lesnar had signed a deal with a company but it’s not the WWE. It was not clear if this was a reference to AEW or some MMA company like Bellator or the UFC. This rumor allegedly arrived from a reliable source which in turn, kept the fans guessing whether the biggest box office attraction in WWE history finally opted to part ways with the company.

In an update, there is no truth to any rumors that say Brock Lesnar has signed with AEW, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer as well as Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men wrestling podcast. It was noted by the Observer that AEW President Tony Khan has never had a business discussion with the former Universal Champion in the WWE.
Brock Lesnar isn’t going to AEW
Sources close to Brock Lesnar said any reports of him secretly signing with AEW is 100% inaccurate. Later, Zarian added that AEW might have spoken once in passing, but nothing serious had come out of it. People in AEW reportedly laughed at the idea of Lesnar being signed. Here’s the update provided by the source,
“The story is that Brock Lesnar signed with another company and everyone is thinking it is AEW. I can tell you it is not AEW. They have spoken maybe once in passing, like nothing serious whatsoever. Everybody I asked about this, they laughed. I can only tell you what they said to me.”
Brock Lesnar signing with AEW would not make economic sense at this point. Plus, WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon would go to any level to lock in the Beast Incarnate for future appearances. There have been some alleged plans of a WrestleMania match between Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the next few years.
That being said, Brock Lesnar has not signed a new deal with anyone, including WWE, AEW, UFC, Bellator, or anyone else. WWE still doesn’t think that it’s the right time to bring him back since they could be waiting until WrestleMania 38 in 2022.
