Two months ago, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE, and ever since then, their status are up in the air. Being two of the top talents of the WWE roster, the two especially Sasha possesses a huge fanbase who are worried about her wrestling career.

A recent report has suggested that Sasha Banks and Naomi were removed from the internal WWE roster, a move that was done many weeks ago. Now both the superstars have updated their Instagram handles and the bio doesn’t have anything related to the WWE.

As seen in recent times, Sasha Banks and Naomi made some interesting edits to their social media account details. Their previous WWE references were replaced with simply the “Professional Wrestler” phrase. Naomi has fully removed her associations with the company while Sasha still holds the on-screen name alongside her original name, Mercedes Varnado.

It was back in May that WWE suspended Sasha Banks and Naomi for walking out of RAW. They were also stripped of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Then earlier this week, PWInsder reported that they are no longer listed on WWE’s internal roster. The report also added that Sasha could be engaging in “some signings outside of WWE” as early as this fall.

In another update from Fightful, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi were removed from WWE’s internal rosters “weeks” ago. Despite the internal changes, the change wasn’t made public on WWE’s website department and hence none of them was removed from WWE’s official online roster.

The report also added that WWE Creative was still operating under the assumption that neither Sasha Banks nor Naomi is returning to the company. Also, one member of WWE’s writing team told Fightful that they’ve not heard of “any contingency plans or creative prepared in the event that things do come together.”

Additionally, Raj Giri of Wrestling posted the following on the Sasha Banks and Naomi situation,

“Here’s what I know about Sasha Banks. She was released on June 10th and it came from Erika Schreiber, VP of Business and Legal Affairs for Talent Relations. As for why WWE has not said anything or removed her, the rumor is that leadership is trying to smooth things over.”
