Sasha Banks is friends with several talents who used to be with the WWE, given that she’s been with the company for almost nine years now. One of those closest friends of hers is Kalisto who recently made his debut on the All Elite Wrestling promotion. This did garner attention from the pro-wrestling universe.

It appears that Sasha Banks already had the clue of the former WWE Superstar heading to AEW as she tweeted out Samuray del Sol (the new name of WWE’s Kalisto) ahead of the bygone Dynamite show, this week. The tweet came after it was announced that he and Aerostar would answer AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR’s open challenge on Dynamite.

Sasha Banks and Kalisto are real-life friends

Kalisto is a Mexican American professional wrestler who is best known for his time in WWE. He signed with the company in 2013 under the ring name Kalisto and won the NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Sin Cara as Lucha Dragons. The Lucha House Party stint continued for him with Gran Metallik and Lince Dorado but that didn’t leave much impact on WWE programming.

During this mainstay stint, Kalisto and Sasha Banks became the very best of friends who were often spotted training together in the past. The two superstars also traveled together along with their respective spouses during their time away from the WWE.

Sasha Banks continues to go after the Smackdown Women’s Title held by Charlotte Flair, as of now while Kalisto is now going by Samuray del Sol after his release from WWE back in April. This week’s AEW marked his first match since the departure (It ended in a losing effort as Wheeler retained via roll-up on Aerostar). Before this week, he last appeared in the ring during a SmackDown taping in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale.
