Sasha Banks is back on Smackdown television to shake things up that were needed for a long time now. For weeks now, Bianca Belair was in need of a strong opponent to defend her title and now she’s been given one after lengthy feuds against the likes of Bayley or Carmella. On the Road to Summerslam 2021, she is on the collision course against the woman whom many believe to be the most technically gifted female athlete in the WWE Women’s Division.
This past episode of Smackdown was remarkable for Sasha Banks as she received a title rematch from the champion, right away. This was the first time we’ve heard from her since last April. She made a glamorous appearance in a dazzling outfit over which we already did a story. Now she herself came up with an up-close look to the outfit, offering a few photos of the gear on Instagram.
As seen in the latest shots, The Legit Boss of the WWE garnered all the attention from this shimmery attire. Plus, Sasha Banks also posted a catchy caption to the post as it seems that she was rhyming, “One for the money, two for the show. Sasha Banks heading into a title match
A week ago, Sasha Banks returned on WWE SmackDown on FOX from the Target Center in Minneapolis by saving Bianca Belair from a double team attack by Zelina Vega and Carmella. This was her first appearance since dropping the strap to Belair in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night One. The segment ended with Banks and Belair embracing cheers from the crowd.
Sasha Banks and Belair then teamed up to face Vega and Carmella in the main event of that SmackDown. The match ended with Banks catching Carmella in the Backstabber and then applying the Bank Statement for the submission win. After the main event, Banks and Belair celebrated until Banks turned on Belair from behind, dropping her with a Backstabber.
Afterward, WWE officially announced that Sasha Banks will challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at SummerSlam 2021 in a rematch from Wrestlemania 37.
