Female professional wrestling superstar Serena Deeb is well known for her first stint with WWE. She mostly appeared on the SmackDown brand who is also known for her time with the developmental territory in Florida Championship Wrestling aka FCW which was later converted to NXT.
For those who can’t recognize who Serene Deeb was in WWE, we want to remind you that back in the day, CM Punk created the Straight Edge Society with Luke Gallows and bald woman. This female role was played by Serene under the same name. Except for having some one-off matches, WWE never used her in in-ring competition before releasing her from the contract.

Serena Deeb was a coach for WWE PC trainees
Serena Deeb called the work she’s doing “very rewarding.” She also referenced her previous experience from WWE, a similar experience. It should be noted that WWE made her a Coach at the WWE Performance Center from 2018 till 2020 until they again released her in 2020 due to budget cuts.
“…When I was kinda sitting on the sidelines, I stepped into the coaching role and the producing role and kinda the stuff I was doing before at the other company, you know,” said Serena Deeb.
“Yeah, so it’s like I’m helping them with their matches. I’m on headset sitting next to Tony, calling the matches, talking to the truck, like doing all of that. And I love that too. And you know what, that has like an exhilarating component in itself. Like especially when you really help and then you watch them go out there and they kill it, it’s like you feel like you’re part of that. It’s very rewarding.”
In addition to her backstage role, Serena Deeb remains active in the ring in AEW. In recent weeks, she has been feuding with Hikaru Shida before coming up short to win the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Winter is Coming. Deeb is also a former NWA Women’s Champion and six-time OVW Women’s Champion.
