Smackdown kicked off on a predictable note with Kevin Owens walking out to receive a thunderous reception from the audience. The home-country fans of Owens were on their feet to greet him after the big win at Summerslam. He revealed that it felt really good to beat down Shane McMahon on this past Sunday Night. Shane was out soon to point out that Owens was wrong to put his hands on the special guest referee, Elias at Summerslam. So he will have to pay a fine of $100000 for his misdeeds.

King Of The Ring Tournament Set To Return Next Week On WWE Raw

This made the Prizefighter irate and broke a TV, backstage. Later, Shane McMahon announced a match forcing him to compete against Samoa Joe with a special in-ring enforcer in the form of WWE 24/7 Champion Elias. His partial falls counting forced Kevin Owens to digest a pinfall loss with a roll-up win. Elias made the fastest count in the history of the company to stun the crowd and Owens whose Summerslam momentums came to a sudden halt.

Kevin Owens picked up one of the most significant victories of his career on this past Sunday night. He was up against a man who is allegedly stealing spotlights from the youngsters. Shane McMahon is the concerned person who has become annoying as hell with his self-proclaimed ‘Best in the World’ moniker. Owens vowed to erase that from Smackdown and dared to put his career on the line.

This laid down the foundation of a solid matchup between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens at Summerslam. Despite the interferences from Elias, the Prizefighter was able to steal the win and thereby save his WWE career. The backstage news was that it would pave the way for a big push towards the former Universal Champion, (courtesy WWE.com)

“After risking his WWE career to get his hands on Shane McMahon at SummerSlam, Kevin Owens found success at The Biggest Event of The Summer, staggering “The Best in the World” with a Stunner to pick up the victory. With the win, can KO put McMahon in his rearview mirror, or will Shane-O-Mac continue to be a thorn in his side?”

As seen on Smackdown, that’s how things turned out to be as the authority figure continued showing heel antics on The Prizefighter. This rivalry is likely to continue after how things went down on the show, last night.
