One of the cornerstone figures of WWE Women’s Evolution over the past few years, Bayley is currently absent from television, owing to an injury. Due to a torn ACL suffered back in July, she has been sidelined from action just before the WWE fans were allowed to join the shows in live attendance. Now, it appears that she is inching closer to a return.
Bayley recently held a Q&A session on her Instagram account. She did this to help raise funds for the Family Giving Tree charity with celebrities, musicians, and wrestlers during the holiday season. During the interview, she spoke about how the recovery process from the injury is going. She teased that a comeback could very well be reserved for her in due course.

During the recent live stream on Instagram, Bayley provided an update on the recovery process,
“People are asking how my knee is. So my knee is doing great, my leg’s doing great, my ankle’s doing great, my calf is doing great, my shin is doing great, my hip is doing great. My mind is doing great, so I mean it’s only a matter of time and I’m not gonna tell you when and I don’t want all these idiots watching to know when. But, I’m gonna be coming back soon, maybe, you know and y’all better be ready. Better be ready.” (quotes courtesy POST Wrestling)

Bayley’s injury from mid-2021 was unfortunate
Bayley’s injury happened during a training session at the WWE Performance Center. She was chain wrestling in the ring with another unknown WWE star at that point. She had to pull out of her scheduled I Quit Match with Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
Recently, Bayley was photographed on crutches as she continues making her recovery. Wrestlers generally recover from an ACL tear within six to nine months. Keeping that in mind, we can assume that she could be back in time for Wrestlemania 38 season.
The longest-reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion was not drafted as a part of the 2021 WWE Draft, which makes her a “free agent”, at this point. This allows making an entry on either Raw/Smackdown as per her choice.
