WWE is gearing up for a huge edition of SummerSlam from Las Vegas in August, while the very next big event after that will be Survivor Series 2021 in November. Now we have received an update on what the WWE officials are thinking of the show alongside the potential location. Also, a mega appearance is expected for the final Big-Four pay-per-view event of the year.
Last year, this particular show had The Undertaker’s Final Farewell segment that took place inside the ThunderDome. That won’t be the case, this year as Andrew Zarian from the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast reports that WWE is likely taking Survivor Series 2021 back to New York, Brooklyn. He specifically mentioned the city in reply to a tweet.

The venue wasn’t specifically mentioned but as usual, the Barclays Center could end up being the host. WWE has always used this one for tons of big events in the past years. SummerSlam considered this one to be home for a while alongside some great NXT TakeOver episodes. Now it appears that WWE might be preparing to bring Survivor Series 2021 to the city that never sleeps.
That being said, WWE will be back to a market where they have had a lot of success in the past. Now, reports claim that the company is also targeting to bring Dwyane Johnson. The Wrestling Observer noted that there is hope that The Rock will show up at WWE Survivor Series 2021 but nothing has been locked down yet.
Survivor Series 2021 could begin The Rock vs Roman Reigns program
It wasn’t specifically mentioned whether or not WWE wants The Rock for a match at Survivor Series 2021 as The Observer said that there’s only hope that he may make an appearance. It could only happen if the Hollywood star can make things work out from his demanding schedule.
“The hope is for Dwayne Johnson to make an appearance at that show but that isn’t locked in, but the hope it for around that time. If he’s involved that would make it a huge show and it would lead credence to Reigns vs. Johnson for WrestleMania.”
The Rock vs. Roman Reigns has been teased for the past two WrestleManias, but WWE couldn’t make it happen. The event was previously set to be held in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium but that was rescheduled in Florida. A potential appearance at Survivor Series might just start the program for this mega match.
