AEW Superstar Tay Conti is enjoying her days in the company, to the fullest. Apart from featuring on TV on a regular basis, she has also found her life partner in the form of the current AEW TNT Champion, Sammy Guevera. She tried very hard to make a name for herself in the WWE, performing under the NXT banner but her efforts weren’t noticed.
She was simply not used much there given the fact that she was a rookie. Her life has become miserable but thankfully, she was granted her release from the company in 2020 as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts. Tay Conti definitely doesn’t want to revisit those days from NXT but she does have a pledge to wrestle a top WWE Superstar.
In an interview with Highspots, Tay Conti revealed one of her 2022 goals. Beyond competing against TBS Champion Jade Cargill, she pointed out how she wants to wrestle multi-time Women’s Champion Asuka. The match isn’t possible, right away but she intends to meet the Japanese sensation, inside the squared circle, one day.
“I really want to wrestle Asuka one day. She’s one of my favorites,” Tay Conti said. “I really want to wrestle her. But, if we can talk about AEW, I would say, I really wanna have Serena Deeb too. Because she’s going crazy right now. Yeah, I wrestled her once, but I really need a rematch against her. So, I’m ready for it.”

Tay Conti has become a prominent name in AEW
Since joining the All Elite Wrestling promotion in Summer 2020, Tay Conti has been able to establish herself as a major name in the AEW’s women’s division. The Brazilian-born jiu-jitsu specialist already featured in marquee matches on AEW programming, most notably as challengers for the NWA and AEW Women’s Championship matches.
Tay Conti came up short on both occasions but she plans on capitalizing on the upcoming opportunities in 2022,

Tay Conti expectedly named her pay-per-view contest with AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker on top of her favorite matches but she also mentioned matches against Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida as other matches that she’s proud of.
