Taynara Conti has become All Elite! The rival brand of WWE has now officially signed the beauty, to a contract, who used to be an NXT roster member. Conti competed in the bygone AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup where Anna Jay was her partner. They defeated Nyla Rose & Ariane Andrew in the 1st round.

But in the second round, they ended up losing to the tournament winners Ivelisse and Diamante. At that point, Taynara Conti was still competing on the AEW roster as a free agent. But ever since teaming with the Dark Order’s Anna Jay, the faction led by Brodie Lee has been attempting to recruit Conti into their group.

Storyline wise, Taynara Conti has accepted the offer while in reality, AEW signed her to a deal. Thus, after much anticipation, the Brazilian bombshell now has a new home in AEW. She previously vented out frustrations over her NXT stint who should now be happy after receiving a lucrative offer. Also, it’s an opportunity for her to prove her earlier employers wrong.

As noted above, Taynara Conti was released from her NXT contract back in April due to the coronavirus related budget cuts. Almost five months later, AEW announced Conti’s signing via Twitter on September 9th. It is indeed great news for the Diva who is also trained in Jiu-Jitsu. The 25-year-old superstar signed with WWE back in 2016 and then reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida for further training purposes. She also participated and then got eliminated in the 1st round of the Mae Young Classic the following year. WWE would then bring her on TV through NXT for the first time in October of 2017.
Following her release, Taynara Conti did speak about how she was mishandled in the company. But she also mentioned how she is grateful for the opportunity given by the company. Here’s more of her comments via a YouTube video,
“As you guys know, I don’t work for WWE anymore. I was with the company for 2 and a half years or so, a little bit more I guess. Honestly, it was the most crazy and amazing opportunity of my whole life. I will always be grateful because WWE changed my life, and for the better. I came here to US and I had no English, I had no idea what wrestling was before.”
