WWE decided to split up The IIconics without any hype. The former Women’s Tag Team Champions were separated with no whatsoever shenanigans and WWE creative didn’t have much plans behind the split, at all. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce were best friends since high school days in Australia and they’ve immense chemistry with each other.
But Vince McMahon cared the least about their bond as he sent them apart on notice of a day. Apparently, the decision of their breakup was made on the afternoon of Raw that the incident actually happened.
While speaking to Sports Today, Billie Kay was asked about a possible reunion for the IIconics. She seems positive that someday it will happen. But for now, they’re residing on separate brands.
“I don’t know. Deep down in my heart, I hope so. I hope that one day The IIconics can come back together and just totally dominate the tag team division, but at this time right now I can’t see it happening at the moment.”

Billie Kay is portraying the character of a lost person on the SmackDown roster ever since the breakup of The IIconics. She on her own mission right now to find a new tag team partner as she continues to pass out her resume to whoever shows up before her. She is trying to be the third wheel of the Riott Squad but that effort is yet to be successful.

Peyton Royce was aligned with Lacey Evans for some time before the two eventually moved along their different ways. Charlotte Flair moved into the situation and now Royce has nothing to do on TV. That being said, WWE must consider reuniting The IIconics again so that these two bright talents aren’t wasted. The two certainly didn’t seem to lose any steps as they reunited, briefly during the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Billie Kay has moved to SmackDown while Peyton Royce is on RAW now. Peyton seems to be really enjoying what Billie is doing on the blue brand, though. The IIconics member is currently moving around with her resume, trying to find a proper place on the blue brand.

While speaking to Rick Ucchino, Peyton Royce addressed her former partner’s current angle on SmackDown. She mentioned how Kay is “thriving” on her own,
“She is absolutely thriving right now. She is an absolute genius, and I’m so happy for what she is doing on SmackDown Live. I don’t know if I’ll ever get over it. It was like such, it tore my heart apart, and I’m still trying to put those pieces back together.”
