This comes as a contradictory update from Dave Meltzer as he spoke out about the matter on Wrestling Observer. Per the veteran journalist’s update, it seems that The Undertaker will not return at Crown Jewel 2021. Meltzer clarified that there were simply no weight or substance to the return story,
“There is a big rumor in Saudi Arabia about The Undertaker returning at Crown Jewel that has gotten mainstream coverage. There’s been promotion on social media that teases his appearance that has circulated on social media for the last 10 days or so.
To clarify, the video making the rounds that has caused the rumor is from 2019 and there doesn’t appear to be anything to the story.”

The Undertaker hasn’t been seen in WWE since last year
Only time will tell whether the legendary wrestler is set for his next WWE TV appearance, tonight. He’s not seen in WWE programming since the “Final Farewell” at the Survivor Series pay-per-view last November. His last match was a Boneyard Match – a cinematic bout with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020.
The Undertaker was in attendance at WWE’s last Saudi Arabia PPV event – Super ShowDown 2020 where he won the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy by defeating AJ Styles in a controversial fashion. Before that, he was also there in the Saudi Kingdom for Crown Jewel 2019 event, but he did not wrestle. Instead, WWE used him to represent themselves at the Riyadh Season Grand Parade Opening, which was held to kick off the Riyadh Season for that year.
