The Undertaker walked into the sunset of his career at the bygone Survivor Series pay-per-view event in November 2020 which also marked the 30th anniversary of his legendary career. It was a decent affair where the most prolific performer in sports entertainment received his Final Farewell from his colleagues and all of the WWE Universe.

Many still believe that The Undertaker didn’t receive a proper send-off as there wasn’t any audience present on the show. Moreover, he didn’t perform in any match inside the ring that could have been a much better ending to his career. So there’s an expectation that he could be back in competition for at least, one more match. Now a clarification has been received on the matter.

The Undertaker Will Never Come In WWE In Character, Again

While accepting the Slammy Award for Moment Of The Year, The Undertaker confirmed that his appearance at Survivor Series 2020 was his final appearance as The Phenome or The Deadman which is the character he is portraying for such a long time. His comments genuinely meant that he’ll never appear on WWE TV under that gimmick again. You can check his actual words, as given below,

“Wow, thank you so much. Thank you to the WWE Universe. There’s so much I need to thank you guys for.

I want to thank you for 30 years of having my back and to be able to come out one last time as The Undertaker and have that Final Farewell, and that be voted the Moment Of The Year is just humbling.

I want to thank not only everyone that I’ve ever worked with, all the guys that were there that night to make that night so special and most of all, I want to thank the WWE Universe for voting The Final Farewell as the Moment Of The Year. Thank you.”

The Undertaker’s kayfabe perspective was ruined, big-time when AJ Styles addressed him as Mark Calaway during their WrestleMania feud. Even Taker’s wife Michelle McCool was dragged into the equation hinting that the mythical character won’t be lasting. During the encounter with Styles at the Boneyard Match, he appeared as The American Badass in what appeared to be his last match.
