When Triple H used to run things on WWE NXT, Johnny Gargano was often touted as the heart and soul of the brand. His excellent feuds with the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole, and many more helped the third brand of the WWE get its own identity. Despite the recent revamp of the brand, his absence is definitely felt.

It should be noted that Johnny Gargano had left WWE NXT earlier this year and hasn’t since wrestled in or outside the WWE. He is already out of his WWE contract while his wife, Candice LeRae’s was also reportedly set to expire in the middle of this year. That being said, both Gargano and LeRae officially became free agents back in May of this year.

The former DIY member has teased a return to the industry just recently and who knows whether he’s been in touch with the WWE officials, lately.

Johnny Gargano could soon come back to WWE NXT

Fightful Select provided some insights into the situation and the potential return to WWE NXT for Johnny Gargano. The course noted that shortly after the change in WWE management, Michaels got the task of reaching out to Johnny Gargano.

There is no update available on how the conversation between the two parties has gone down. But it’s clear that HBK was the one who was to be in contact with him. For those who don’t know, the legendary WWE Superstar is playing the role of a producer, particularly for the WWE NXT brand for a long time, now.

During his six-year tenure with the WWE NXT brand, Gargano became a one-time tag team champion, a three-time North American champion, and a one-time NXT champion. He was also touted to be the most technical wrestler in WWE’s developmental territory and of course, Triple H was very high on him.

Gargano originally took a break from wrestling last December due to the birth of his son. With Triple H back in charge of things in WWE, this seems to be perfect timing for the veteran superstar to finally make his return to the company.
