It’s not often that WWE changes one of their top superstar’s names but that’s not the case with Seth Rollins. The cornerstone figure of the red brand of the WWE’s name has officially been altered, as of this week. The new name on Rollins’ official WWE RAW roster page has now become Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
Over the past few years, Seth Rollins has received many nicknames in WWE, but now it seems that he indeed has a new middle name. That Seth “Freakin’” Rollins won’t just be a catchphrase anymore after the name was officially changed on WWE’s website. It’ll be interesting to see whether the name will be reflected during his next TV appearances on Raw.
Top WWE Raw Superstar And His Title Reign Reportedly Not Properly Utilized
WWE usually has the tendency to shorten names in case of any changes are needed but in this case, they stretched out the name of Seth Rollins. The superstar himself started adding the “Freakin’” phrase into his middle name over the past year during the promo segments. Now it will be part of his actual WWE in-ring name. We assume that new merchandise reflecting on this name will soon be launched, as well.
WWE extended Seth Rollins’ official name
WWE started using the addition of this “Freakin’” phrase in their recap of Saturday’s WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, where Seth Rollins worked in the Fatal 5 Way main event with new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Big E, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley.
He also tweeted on the new middle name this past week and wrote, “Seth FREAKIN Rollins. On the birth cert babes.”

Seth Rollins recently spoke with Josh Martinez where he revealed that one match that he appreciated as a fan of wrestling. It also apparently generated his love for the business. That match took place back at WrestleMania 6.
“I would say Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 6. That’s probably the one for me that got me like stuck, stuck. I was a fan a little bit before that, but that was the one,” Seth Rollins said. “I have the image of the video cassette tape burned into my brain of WrestleMania 6. So, that would be the one where I was like, ‘yeah, this is it for me.’”
