Triple H was always supposed to be in the successor’s position in the WWE once Vince McMahon will eventually have to step down from his role. But he’s been absent from WWE programming as well as backstage appearances due to health issues which led to a change in the situation. He is no longer in charge of the NXT programming, either.
A WWE corporate executive who reportedly had a strong bond with WWE executive, Triple H has left the company. PWInsider has reported that Lissette Pineda was recently let go from WWE. This comes after just a couple of years since she joined the promotion as its Manager of Global Talent Strategy and Development in January of 2020.
Ex WWE NXT Star Reveals Triple H Apologized To Her For 2018 Mae Young Classic Removal
As noted by the source, Pineda’s position offered her to closely work with Triple H, whose official corporate position in WWE is the Executive Vice President of Global Strategy and Talent Development while he’s billed as Chief Operating Executive on live TV.
Triple H’s personal team for NXT was also let go
Sources went on to describe Pineda as Triple H’s top executive assistant, per PWInsider. It was also noted that Pineda’s role had become limited following the absence of the former head-honcho of the NXT brand. Hence, it was felt that it was only a matter of time before the company lets him go like many other former executives.
Pineda’s departure did raise eyebrows to WWE fans regarding Triple H’s future with the company. Previously, the core team held by The Game, was also released as WWE wanted to implement a new team and strategy to run things on the NXT show.

The 14-time World Champion and former head of the NXT brand isn’t obviously working full time since he underwent a surgical procedure for a major cardiac event back in September of 2021. Nothing in detail was released regarding that incident while it was later described as “very, very serious” by Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer.
Triple H was last spotted at the construction site of WWE’s new headquarters in New York in November along with Vince McMahon and others. He was reportedly not expected to return to his duties in early 2022, according to PWInsider. Now with Pineda’s exit, many have been wondering whether the legendary professional wrestler will ever get back his old positions with WWE.
