Despite retiring from the WWE on multiple occasions, the itch of pro-wrestling keeps on dragging Trish Stratus back to the company. Given her intention, there should be more such stints to be reserved for her in the future. This also keeps the aspect alive that we might see the mother of Stratusfaction becoming a champion, yet again in the company.

Whether or not the accolade of being an eight-time champion gets attached to her, Trish Stratus has already become a bonafide WWE Hall of Famer. She was the first of her kind to get the call rightly because there was a point when she was the most prominent woman not only in WWE but also around the circuit which led her to become the inspiration for many women.

WWE’s Becky Lynch Invited To All Elite Wrestling By Top Female Star

Speaking with For The Love of Wrestling, Trish Stratus recalled the moment when she got her call to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame for the class of 2013. The first thing that came to her mind was that she might have to feature in the WWE storyline to get inducted which she was unable to do due to being pregnant,

“Kevin Dunn called me and told me the news. And then I was like ‘So, here’s the thing, I’m pregnant.’ And my work brain said — ’cause usually the person in the Hall of Fame has an angle, would I have to do an angle? I don’t think I can have an angle because I have a baby inside of me.”

Stephanie McMahon has reasons to induct Trish Stratus into the WWE Hall of Fame

Moving on, Trish Stratus further revealed that she received one more call from Stephanie McMahon who first gave her the idea to reveal her pregnancy to the world through the WWE Hall of Fame appearance. Besides, McMahon also announced herself to be the inductor of the seven-time women’s champion to revisit their memorable feud in the early 2000s,

“And she said ‘this is amazing, we should make this a moment!’ And so, she was like “what if you announced your pregnancy as part of your Hall of Fame speech?’ So, I got to introduce Max to the world from the inside out.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

In 2023, Trish Stratus competed the most times in a calendar year since her initial retirement from the ring in 2006. Speaking at an episode of The Iron Claw, she told Chris Van Vliet that the original idea for her 2023 run to end was slated to be at WrestleMania 39 before things got changed and she got involved in a full-blown feud with Becky Lynch that continued through the summer.
