The Rock was the front-runner to be the opponent of Roman Reigns in the upcoming edition of WrestleMania. Recent reports suggest that the match isn’t being talked about, much. It can only happen if Dwayne Johnson can work out his other Hollywood commitments given that WWE will also be able to bring back live fans into the events. At this point, it’s very much uncertain.

Ringside News confirms that WWE isn’t booking things in advance. No talk is being observed for WrestleMania matches and so it’s really tough to predict what is really going on. No match has been proposed for Roman Reigns even though he’s the top superstar of the roster. This is something quite unlikely compared to the previous years.

Previously, there was some insider belief that Big E could become a potential opponent of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. Updated reports also claim that E is also under consideration for a big match against Daniel Bryan.

The source asked around about reports whether Big E is still under consideration for the WrestleMania match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. It was answered by a tenured member of the WWE creative team that “Big E’s name has never, not once, ever been mentioned as a WrestleMania opponent.”

It was also noted that news was “pulled out of thin air” meaning that it was just a wild rumor that E was going to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. There’s no truth either to the reports that E was eventually going to win the 2021 Royal Rumble and earn the main event spot.
