Wrestlemania is the brainchild of none other than Vince McMahon. Since its debut WWE has projected it as the biggest PPV of the year and gradually it became the showcase of immortals and the biggest spectacle in the sports entertainment. The victories at the biggest stage have been “career defying moment” for many of the superstars. On the other hand, there are some matches when superstars have been defeated in the shortest times which only added to the insult lists. JBL vs. Rey Mysterio (21 seconds) Intercontinental championship – Wrestlemania 25

Rey Mysterio was scheduled to face JBL for the Intercontinental championship at Wrestlemania 21. It was the first time when the championship was up for grabs since Wrestlemania 18 and the match has ended only in 21 seconds. Before the match even started, Rey was attacked by JBL but the master of 619 make a comeback as soon as the bell rang. Rey finished off in style quickly by hitting the 619 following a frog splash. JBL was seemingly frustrated after the match and declared “I Quit.” from WWE. It was the last in-ring outing of JBL.


The Hart Foundation vs. The Bolsheviks (19 seconds) – Wrestlemania 6

The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) squared off against The Bolsheviks (Boris Zhukov and Nikolai Volkoff) at the grandest event which saw Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior as the main event and ended the bout in just 19 seconds. As soon as the match was started, Jim delivered a Hart attack which resulted in the victory. Following their loss, Boris and Volkoff ended their ally and separated.


Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus (18 seconds) WWE World heavyweight championship – Wrestlemania 28

It was the opening contest of the grandest stage in the year Rock faced Cena for the first time where the winner of the 2012 Royal Rumble, Sheamus faced Daniel Bryan. Sheamus ended the match at the handful time of just 18 seconds. Bryan was out in the ring with his kayfabe girlfriend AJ Lee who delivered a “good luck” kiss to him which was the turning point. Sheamus delivered the Brogue Kick the moment Bryan turned and got the pin. On the following week, Bryan dumped AJ to blame her for the loss.


Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero (11 seconds) ECW championship – Wrestlemania 24

Prior to the main show of the 24th edition of Wrestlemania, Kane won a battle royal to face the ECW champion Chavo Guerrero for the championship. Chavo came out first, waited for Kane and for the much surprise to the champ Kane came out underneath the ring instead of walking down through the ramp. The Demon did not waste time and delivered a mammoth chokeslam right to hell to pick the second shortest victory in Wrestlemania history.


The Rock vs. Eric Rowan (6 seconds) – Wrestlemania 32

It was known publicly that The Rock has signed “no-wrestling” contract and as a result, he will not compete in wrestling. The contract was for his upcoming movie Baywatch so that he doesn’t get injured or risk his health before shooting begins. At Wrestlemania 32 he came out to announce that it broke all the records regarding the audience. Nobody expected that the Wyatts would interfere him. To the shock of the wrestling fans, Rock challenged them for a match. Rowan was chosen for the same and got a Rock Bottom to be pinned in just six seconds and set the record for the shortest match in Wrestlemania history.
