Fans of Bayley had several complaints about the WWE creative team and their booking process toward the former NXT Women’s Champion. While she used to be a pillar of the Black and Yellow brand, her main roster debut wasn’t that good. But 2020 has been an extremely bright year for her as she became a Grand Slam Champion in the female division.

Only three women superstars in the history of WWE have been able to earn the Grand Slam accolade (Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Women’s Tag Team Championships) and Bayley is one of them. Additionally, she had completed 500-plus days as the SmackDown Women’s Champion, earlier this year before dropping the belt to Sasha Banks.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated rightfully ranked her the number one female wrestler of this year. While appearing on Table Talk with D-Von, Bayley talked about her dream opponent at WrestleMania. She’s almost wrestled every female wrestler on the roster. So she obviously named one of her childhood heroes whom she would like to step into the ring against.

“Lita has always been a dream opponent just because she’s somebody I never been in the ring with. Which is crazy to say now, but we’ve been in a 10-woman tag match before, and this was the night after Evolution. That was so insane,” recalled Bayley.

“She did the moonsault. I did the elbow off the top and we did Twist of Fates. It was so crazy, but I want a match against her because she’s the one who helped me realize my dreams. She made me really see women who look different and dress differently can make it in this business and be successful. So, I would love to just pay that back to her, pay that to my 12-year-old self, and have that dream match.”

It should be noted that Bayley has been a die-hard fan of WWE programming since childhood. She regularly attended WWE shows and shared pictures with the old-school legends. In fact, this aspect was used to build her babyface character once she entered WWE, for the first time. Nowadays, she’s turned into a solid heel who’s become a completely opposite persona, though.

Bayley also shared that she could have received her own WrestleMania entrance with a live music band performing on the stage. She wanted the act to go down at the Show of Shows like old times but the coronavirus pandemic had some other ideas. She talked about wanting Hayley Williams of Paramore to perform “Sinner” during her entrance but obviously, that couldn’t happen,

“I did ask her on a live stream if she would like to play Sinner for me at WrestleMania. She thought I asked if I could just use the song, which she did give permission for. To be honest, I have mentioned it to the WWE Music Producer. So, before the pandemic, before we knew WrestleMania was going to be in front of nobody, we were actually trying to figure out how to get that going and how to make it work,” revealed Bayley.

“We were having phone calls about it. All of this happened and we couldn’t do it, so, we’ll see.”
