Now, it’s a fact that WWE Smackdown is in a stagnant mode as of late and the situation is continuing for last few years. It has been the second flagship show since its debut but the lack of planning and no individual identity of its own has made it a stale show, a show which one can skip over without the fear of missing anything. Last week, though, it was a different story altogether and had every ingredient a fan could ask for. It had Debuts, championship match, storyline development and most importantly the continuation that the storyline needs from the fall-outs of Raw.
As a fan, we can only hope that Smackdown continues with programming like this and be a competitor for Raw like it was in its previous days. Sadly, for us, it will not be like that this week. This week’s SmackDown will suffer from a lack of star power as WWE has not listed most of its major stars to appear on this week’s WWE SmackDown. (sources SportsKeeda.com)
WWE will be heading to its annual UK tour for next week and according to reports from wrestlingINC.com Roman Reigns, New Day, Charlotte, Kane, The Wyatts, Sheamus, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, The Dudley Boyz and many others will be absent on this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown as they already headed for the same directly from Raw.
The main focus on this week’s WWE Smackdown will be on unveiling the next chapter of Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho rivalry. The other listed superstars for this week’s edition of Smackdown are United States Champion Kalisto, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Rusev, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler, Natalya, Alicia Fox alongside. We can only hope that WWE creative will be good enough to deliver a packed show with a limited star power on Thursday night.
