Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley suffered a storyline injury at last night’s Elimination Chamber premium live event. WWE first released a storyline update on the superstar after the show from the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was over. As we were just about to think that it’s a kayfabe injury, an additional update was provided on the top Superstar being legitimately hurt.
At Elimination Chamber, WWE conducted an injury angle with Bobby Lashley during the main event. Rollins put Theory through Lashley’s pod with a Buckle Bomb while the latter Lashley was distracted by looking at Lesnar in his pod. He didn’t see Theory crash through the glass and took a bad bump through that spot.

Officials and medics tended to Bobby Lashley as the match continued inside the Chamber. The officials then escorted him to the back. The timer went off later and opted for Lashley to enter the match. Lashley wasn’t there as Lesnar kicked his way out of his own pod and entered the match. He also went on to win the Chamber match to win the WWE Championship.
WWE later announced via Twitter that Bobby Lashley has entered concussion protocol and traveled back to the United States under medical supervision to undergo additional evaluation.

Bobby Lashley suffering from a legit shoulder injury
A further update was provided through former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide from The Ringer Wrestling Show who revealed that Bobby Lashley is dealing with a legitimate shoulder injury. The injury reportedly happened during his Royal Rumble match against Brock Lesnar and he could be out of action for a while.
“I have it under good authority that Bobby Lashley is shoot hurt and has been hurt since the Rumble match,” Kazeem Famuyide revealed news about Bobby Lashley. “If you noticed he hasn’t worked any RAWs. He hasn’t really defended his title. He was shoot hurt at the [Brock] Lesnar at the Rumble. Again, I was wondering how they were going to work him in there while being hurt. I’m assuming this concussion protocol thing is the way to get him out there.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
Kazeem also went ahead to mention that this kind of injury takes at least four months to heal. Hence, chances are high that Bobby Lashley will miss Wrestlemania 38 in April. We expect more news from the situation as time progresses.
