Wrestlemania 38 will feature the top superstars under the WWE banner in big-time matches to make it a successful outing across two nights. The event is being dubbed as the two-most stupendous nights in WWE history where a number of returnees are also expected to make appearances alongside regular superstars. But it’s likely that two former women’s champions will remain absent from the Show of Shows.
Alexa Bliss will reportedly miss WrestleMania 38 despite her recent return to TV. She was back in action for the Women’s Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia, and there have been some speculations that WWE might just find a way to insert her into the card. After all, she is one of the strong names from WWE’s female roster who walked into ‘Mania with both Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships on two consecutive occasions.

However, PWInsider reports that word going around saying that Bliss’ next program won’t likely happen until after WrestleMania 38. It makes sense since WWE has sidelined her after the Elimination Chamber match. The winner of that match, Bianca Belair had been booked to compete against Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at the upcoming premium live event.

WWE Smackdown star is also missing Wrestlemania 38
Bayley is another name who is rumored to miss WrestleMania 38. Word now via the source is that her return to regular TV will only occur after the biggest event of the year.
“Bayley – The current plan is for her to return to TV regularly after Wrestlemania,” Mike Johnson of PWInsider noted in an update.
Bayley underwent surgery to get rid of a torn ACL back in mid-July after suffering the injury while training in the ring at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. She was preparing for a Smackdown Women’s Title match against Bianca Belair at Money in the Bank.
At that time, it was noted then that she was expected to be on the shelf for around 9 months, or until mid-April after Wrestlemania 38. Then in early 2021, it was reported that she is ready to return, just waiting for the company to bring her back.
But in current circumstances, she’s not likely to wrestle next month at the AT&T Stadium and this will be the second straight year that she would be unable to perform at the Showcase of Immortals. She did not wrestle last year, but she was presented in segments at Wrestlemania 37 including one with The Bella Twins.
