As per WWE’s announcement, 77,899 fans were in attendance for Night One of WrestleMania 38 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Dallas, Texas. The night was headlined by Stone Cold Steve Austin who returned to action to pick up a win over Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred Match.
Despite the bigger star powers in attendance, WWE failed to sell out the arena which has a capacity of almost 100,000 seats. In more updates, WWE actually sold 10,000 less tickets than the announced number.
It’s been noted by WretleTix that 65,719 tickets were distributed for WrestleMania Saturday. Hence, it’s clear that WWE has boosted their actual attendance for Wrestlemania 38. But then again, the counted numbers should have included many suites in the arena capacitating several thousand more people as well as various employees and their families who had been working the show.
Brock Lesnar Confirmed For Two Post-Wrestlemania 38 WWE Special Events
Wrestlemania 38 couldn’t draw numbers in terms of attendance
WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan previously hoped to host 100,000 people in attendance for both nights of WrestleMania 38. But they were unable to achieve the goal. We will have to wait and see how things turn out for the company for the Night Two edition which will be headlined by a “Winner Takes All” title unification match between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Titleholder Brock Lesnar.
Night One of Wrestlemania 38 also featured Charlotte Flair retaining her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey while Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch to win the Raw Women’s Championship. Also, Seth Rollins faced a mystery opponent in the form of the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

In comparison to this year’s Show of Shows, WrestleMania 32 is getting touted to be a more successful one in terms of attendance. Back in 2016, that show was also held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, with an announced attendance of 101,763.
Last year, WWE announced a sold-out crowd of 25,675 fans in attendance for both the nights of WrestleMania 37. The show hosted from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida had a limited audience due to COVID-19 restrictions. Wrestlemania 38 didn’t have any such restrictions while Wrestlemania 39 will hit Hollywood, next year for two more grand nights.
