Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Judgment Day (Damian Priest and Finn Balor) served as a co-main-event match at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022. The tag team match from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales witnesses a triumphant reunion for the two veterans and Edge and Rey as they picked up a win. But then something unexpected was waiting for them after the match as Rey’s son Dominik turned heel.
It was a true nostalgia act for Edge at Clash at the Castle 2022 as he reunited with Rey, one of the partners he won the tag team title with. Edge got a thunderous ovation while making his entrance at the show and the crowd was also singing his theme song. Edge was also wearing a Mask similar to that of Mysterio during his entrance as he wanted to pay homage to his Luchador partner.

At one point during the match, Edge hit a 619 on Finn Balor to a huge pop from the crowd. Rhea Ripley attacked Dominik as the latter was standing at ringside in Edge and Rey’s corner. Rey made a save with a splash on both of them.
Rey went for the 619 but Balor broke up the attempt. Dominik tripped Finn as Rey was able to connect with the 619. Edge immediately followed it up with a Spear to get the pin-fall win on Balor.

Dominik attacked Edge and Rey Mysterio at Clash at the Castle 2022
After the match at Clash at the Castle 2022 was over, Dominik turned on Edge by hitting a low blow. To more surprise to the audience, he also leveled Rey with a Clothesline. Judgment Day was laughing at the two veterans who were down inside the ring. As Dominik left, Edge and Rey hugged it out amid cheers from the audience to end the segment.
Per the storyline, WWE has been building to this turn-on moment for Dominik for several weeks as he’s been pummeled by Rhea Ripley, Balor, and Priest on regular intervals as they want to recruit him to Judgment Day. Ripley even wore the famous “I’m Your Papi” t-shirt made famous by the late great Eddie Guerrero leading up to Clash at the Castle 2022.
There have also been tensions between Edge and Dominik for the past couple of weeks and it reached a boiling point for the latter one at Clash at the Castle 2022. There will be fallouts from the situation on tomorrow’s Raw as Edge confirmed his presence on the Monday night show.
