WWE Confirms Signing Bombshell Scarlett Bordeaux, The ‘Diva’ Responds
WWE has officially announced the latest Performance Center Class with a new bunch of WWE NXT Superstars alongside a referee. After much speculation, one of the hottest gimmick possessors from the indie scene, Scarlett Bordeaux is now an official member of the WWE Universe.
As confirmed by WWE.com, the former member of the Impact Knockouts division has signed a contract with the company and showed up for the first day in office.
Scarlett Bordeaux, Shotzi Blackheart, Indi Hartwell, and referee Stephon Smith have all reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This is what WWE has to offer for Bordeaux’s signing,
“Chicago’s Elizabeth Chihaia – aka Scarlett Bordeaux – has made quite the name for herself in America and abroad. The self-proclaimed “smoke show” has been a standout for promotions like Mexico’s AAA, Ring of Honor and Ohio Valley Wrestling.”
Scarlett Bordeaux had a tryout session with the WWE back in September of this year after her contract with Impact Wrestling has come to an end. Following this, reports went viral that WWE has signed her under the NXT banner, perhaps for a multi-year deal.
As per her gimmick around Impact and other wrestling promotions, Scarlett Bordeaux will certainly bring hotness upon arrival on TV which is similar to the past Divas division of the WWE.
But the woman is proud to do so in an era where athletic agility is everything while judging a WWE performer. Below is how she reacted on the social media upon her first appearance at the performance center,
“I never understood why people say ‘Diva; like it’s a bad word,” Bordeaux wrote. “And of course everybody wants to be a Superstar. Well, I’m insatiable, why settle for one, when you can be both?”
Her boyfriend Killer Cross is also seemingly super excited to see her in the big leagues and posted the following on Twitter,
For those who are unaware, Scarlett Bordeaux has wrestled once on WWE television. It ended in a losing effort in a squash match against Nia Jax on RAW in 2016. Now, she is back as a full-time competitor in the company.
It will be interesting to see how WWE chooses to use her on NXT or in the main roster in due course. After all, she reminds us of the gorgeous bombshells like Sable or Torrie Wilson.
Scarlett Bordeaux spoke to WrestlingInc.com through the WINCLY podcast in January to note on how WWE pushed the envelope more this year for some of their female talents,
“I think, for a while, there was a lot of limits on everything with women….For a while they were pulling back the sexiness and placing a limit on what you could do. They are kinda loosening that and saying its okay to have a little bit [of sexiness] which is great.
“I’ve seen a few things the last few weeks which actually makes me really happy. They’re loosening up a little bit on the way they are stopping women being sexy.”
