It was earlier reported that one of the most athletic performers in the Cruiserweight Division, Rich Swann was suspended by the WWE during the fall of 2017. He was scheduled to get an opportunity to the Cruiserweight Championship against the then champion, Enzo Amore. A charge of physical assault was filed against the superstar, at that point.
He was returning with his wife from an indie scene event when a verbal altercation broke out between the two.
In case you don’t know, Su Yung is Swann’s wife who used to perform in numerous wrestling shows in the independent circuits before joining the Impact Wrestling promotion.
The altercation forced Yung to go out of the car when Rich Swann tried to bring his wife back to the car, forcefully.
This was spotted by the police as Yung was screaming for help. Based on her allegations, a case was launched by the police. Owing to this, WWE suspended him for an indefinite span of time.

In recent times, Yung withdrew all the charges pressed against her husband which is why the matter was said to be resolved. Furthermore, his attorney released a statement indicating that there’s no bar for the high-flying superstar to return to the WWE,
“We are hopeful that with the dismissal of these charges Mr. Swann will be able to return to the WWE and our firm will do everything we can to assist him in returning to the ring. Thank you.”
However, the recently released announcement from the WWE confirmed that they were not willing to bring back the superstar under their wings after this controversy affected the superstar’s life.
He is no more a star under the banner of biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world.
Here’s the released official statement:
“Rich Swann and WWE have mutually agreed to part ways as of today, February 15, 2018.”
Apart from this, the company also wished the superstar very best for future endeavors. This is a good indication that there’s still a chance that he might find a way to get back to the company in the future.
It is to be noted that Enzo Amore, the former Cruiserweight Champion was also released from the WWE in recent times which is why the title should be vacant until Wrestlemania.
